புலியும் அவனைத் துரத்தியது.

 

முன்னால் குகை!

 

அருண் குகைக்குள் நுழைந்தான்.

 

புலி குகை வாசல் வரை வந்து நின்றது.

 

அருண் பயத்தில் நடுங்கிக்கொண்டிருந்தான்.

 

அப்போது அவனுக்கு ஒரு யோசனை தோன்றியது.

 

குகையின் பின்புறத்தில் ஒரு சிறிய பாதை இருந்தது. அது மலையின் மறுபுறம் செல்வதை அவன் கவனித்தான்.

ஆற்றங்கரையை அடைந்ததும், அவன் அங்கே மனிதர்கள் நடந்து சென்ற தடயங்களைப் பார்த்தான்.

என்று மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் கூறினான்.
